The latest addition to our mobile WiFi family of products is the WiFi In Motion Moovbox M310. This innovative WiFi access point acts as a router for vehicles such as trains, buses and RVs. What makes the Moovbox M310 especially ground-breaking is its dual SIM capabilities.

As avid travelers are well aware, SIM cards are not always compatible across country lines. Non-compliant SIM cards prevent Americans from using their smartphones in Europe, for instance. In order to successfully use cellular networks overseas, it’s necessary to acquire a SIM card that is compatible with local networks. Fail to do so, and your carrier will almost certainly slap you with onerous mobile roaming charges.

This is especially problematic for those who use cellular-network-based WiFi systems in RVs. When travelers are accustomed to continual internet access via mobile hotspot technology, they don’t savor losing connectivity to unaffordable roaming fees. And those RVers who forget to turn off the router when outside regular cell zones can be shocked with very high provider bills – hefty indeed, considering the large amount of data used in internet transactions.

The Moovbox M310 is designed to help you avoid roaming charges while enjoying consistent web between the U.S. and Canada. The M310 is equipped with two SIM cards and the technology to intelligently switch between them. So when you travel across the border to Canada or to the U.S., the M310 will switch automatically and you won’t have to do a thing in order to avoid pesky roaming fees.

By helping RVers avoid data roaming charges, our WiFi In Motion Moovbox 310 creates a better RVing experience (thanks to consistent web access) and a healthier checkbook (thanks to lower cellular network costs).

It’s easy to add a cycling component to an RV adventure. Just mount a bike rack to the back of your traveling home, and you’re set! Of course, the truly savvy RVing cyclist also equips his or her rig with traveling WiFi. Having an RV makes for a comfortable pre-ride voyage. Below are three of our favorite cycling routes from across the country. We also touch on the benefits of having wifi for your RV while traveling to the trailhead.

Top 3 Bike Trails for RVers

1. The Virginia Creeper is a 35-mile-long trail that runs between Abingdon, Va., and White Top Mountain in North Carolina. Not in the best shape of your life? No worries! Just ride the downhill portion of the ride, from White Top to Damascus, Va., and arrange for a shuttle ride back to your RV at the end of the day. Expect to see beautiful burbling streams, rhododendron-laden glades and plenty of gorgeous Virginia countryside. Use your traveling WiFi to arrange shuttle service while on the go.

2. Trails above Berkeley and in the Oakland Hills. If you’re looking for more of a physical challenge, combined with a fantastic metro area nearby, check out the trails above Berkeley, Calif. Imagine this: One day, you’re viewing world-class art at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, having taken the BART into the city. The next day, you’re pedaling through the lush forests of the Berkeley Hills. This is a wonderful bike trip to tack onto a northern California vacation. While you’re in the area, why not stop and see the jaw-dropping beauty of the redwoods? Having RV internet access makes researching for this kind of spontaneous travel as easy as pie.

3. Bear Creek-Morrison Half-Century, in and around Denver. Start in downtown Denver, and enjoy traffic-free multi-use paths (MUPs) as you ascend to explore the stunning foothills near the Red Rock amphitheater. The trail is rolling and easy through Denver and moderately inclined at Dakota Ridge near Morrison. Acclimate on this trail before tackling loftier trails in the Rockies. Unsure if the weather will cooperate with your plans? WiFi for RV technology opens the floodgates of internet information on weather conditions.

Having Fun While You Get to the Trailhead with Traveling WiFi

Not only will having internet in your RV prove useful for mid-trip research, but it will also make the journey to your vacation spot more pleasant, as each family member will be able to access his or her favorite online services, including:

Streaming online videos to keep family spats to a minimum.

Online newspapers, magazines and talking head videos for the news buff in your clan.

Continual access to music, so you’ll never get sick of listening to the same tired CDs.

Heck, you could even access audio books via your local library’s web portal! The point is that boredom is impossible with RV web access.

Our WiFi In Motion system makes it easy to enjoy a traveling hotspot of internet access in your RV. The system includes a rugged antennae and router; when paired with a compatible cellular data plan using SinglePLAN, this setup provides internet access via cellular networks.

Once your friends see your latest RVing improvement (continual internet access), they will be jealous. Assuage their pangs of ownership envy by recommending our WiFi In Motion system. To make this process easy, we’ll send you informative brochures with a $25 coupon code you can pass on to friends. If your friend buys one of our products, we will say thank you with a $25 debit card for each referral – use these gifts to help fill up the RV tank along your journey!

Email, social media sites, streaming content – these are the reasons many of our customers cite for installing our traveling WiFi In Motion system in their RVs. But something many RVing families don’t anticipate is how having internet WiFi for traveling around the country also makes vacations more fun – not to mention more educational.

Here are a few ways having WiFi for RV use makes family vacations more enjoyable:

1. Enrich onsite learning with online exploration. With WiFi in your RV, it’s easy to turn travel time into learning time. Encourage kids to Google the places and things they see during your vacation. For instance, you might find a kid-friendly video on YouTube that perfectly conveys a complex concept at one of your destinations. You might even help your kids create a book or website to document your journey. A mobile RV device allows kids to keep learning even after you’ve pulled out of the visitor center parking lot.

2. Tap into attractions’ online resources. There is a wealth of information online about America’s travel destinations. For instance, Bryce Canyon near Cedar City, Utah, is one of America’s most popular national parks. Online, the National Park Service’s page for Bryce Canyon National Park offers dozens of resources, including a park newspaper, campground information, weather reports, video podcasts and even eTours!

3. Interact with other travelers. Social learning can be powerful – many kids and teens value their peers’ opinions even more than their parents’ ideas. Take advantage of this by checking out what other people are saying online about your destinations. For instance, you might type in the name of each destination at Twitter to join the conversation about the day’s sights.

4. Keep family and friends informed by posting on social media sites. To extend the last point, having RV WiFi allows family members and friends to watch your journey. With social media access, it’s easy for everyone in your closest circle to feel like they’re participating in your trip.

5. Research amenities while on the road. Having WiFi installed in your RV allows for smarter, more flexible travel. You can investigate local restaurants and other attractions from the comfort of your RV. This will change your traveling experience in countless small ways. For instance, parking can be a real pain in an RV. Appreciating this, other RVers have posted online suggestions on where to park at various travel destinations. Access to the internet from your RV means you’ll spend less time trying to find a place to park – and more time having fun.

As you get accustomed to having WiFi internet access during your family trips, you’ll probably come up with engaging ways to use the internet. Perhaps you’ll invent a family game in which the first person to find an error on your destination’s Wikipedia page wins. However you use it, there’s no doubt that our WiFi In Motion solution makes family vacations more enjoyable.

When taking an RV on vacation, forgetting essential pre-departure tasks can have costly and dangerous results. And there’s so much to keep in mind! Considering that an RV is a rolling home away from home, complete with a functioning bath and kitchen, it makes sense that there would be more preparation needed than when driving a car.

Indeed, forgetting to do one key thing before pulling out can ruin your whole RV trip. Leave the wrong antennae up, and a bridge could take it out. Or worse – forget to unplug a power, water, sewer or fuel connection, and you just might have to cancel your whole trip due to needed repairs.

Because the consequences can be dire if something is forgotten, most veteran RVers run down a departure checklist before driving off. As RV internet experts, we see functioning mobile internet as an item that should be listed on every RV departure checklist. Mobile WiFi for RVs is no longer a vision for the future – RVers all over our great country are surfing the web right now on their mobile internet for RV devices. Our WiFi In Motion kit can help you join their ranks.

To help you prepare for your next RVing adventure, we offer the following pre-departure checklist.

RVer’s Checklist of Pre-Departure Tasks

Drain liquids from holding tanks. You may want to keep the fresh water tank filled if you will be camping in a spot without hookups. Also, confirm that the propane gas setup is safe for the road.

Cable, power, water, sewer and other cables unplugged and securely stored.

Internal and external vents closed, as well as range vent.

Wheel blocks, leveling jacks and entry steps stored and fastened.

Windows, cabinets and doors closed, including outside storage bays and slide rooms. Also check that items in refrigerator and cabinets are packed tight so they won’t shift around as you travel.

Appliances off, including water heater, AC components and water pump.

Check tire pressure and engine fluid levels.

Perform a safety check to make sure turn signals, headlights and brakes are functioning properly.

If you will be towing a car, ensure that the tow is securely attached and all lights are working correctly.

Test entertainment systems and communication devices for functionality before you leave. With our mobile internet system, you take the WiFi hotspot with you as you drive down the road, so you’ll have no problem finding a signal in your RV.

Finally, make sure you and your passengers have everything necessary for comfort and amusement. There’s nothing quite like a long RV trip to bring out irritability among family members. Adding an RV WiFi system means fewer arguments will break out on the road, as every family member will have the World Wide Web at his or her fingertips. Keeping minds occupied is a great way to make your next RV vacation a huge success!

The virgin RV parking experience is something you never forget. Driving an RV is difficult enough – you’re three times higher than other cars, plus you’re so wide that just keeping your vehicle between the lines can be a challenge. It’s enough to make you feel like you’re learning how to drive for the first time. But all of that pales in comparison to the first time you park an RV. Combine a huge turning radius, an extremely long vehicle and decreased visibility, and you’ve got an RV parking adventure on your hands.

It can also be difficult to find parking spaces large enough to hold an RV. To help RVers with this and other challenges of RV parking, we’ve gathered a few handy tips below.

Research before you go. Plan for parking before you leave town. Look for public parks, welcome centers and large retailers that will have enormous parking lots. If you have mobile wireless WiFi for RV, a passenger can research parking while you’re on the road. RV dealers are another great source of information on private RV parks that offer short-term parking. Of course, you’ll need to know your RV’s dimensions in order to find appropriate parking before you pull into a new destination.

Enlist a parking assistant, especially when backing into a parking spot. This helper should stand outside of the RV, guiding you on how to back into alignment with water and sewer hookups.

Check with highway patrol before entering inclement weather. Snow, high winds and other extreme weather can keep RV drivers marooned in their carefully chosen parking spots for days. Always keep an eye on developing storms using your RV internet – that way, you can avoid potentially dangerous areas or contact highway patrol to make sure RVs and trailers are still permitted.

Finally, we encourage all RV drivers to be courteous while parked. Having suffered loud, littering RV drivers, many municipalities have passed RV parking bans. Keep up the positive image of RV drivers by considering others around your parking spot.

Parking, and many other aspects of RV operation, are made much easier with a wireless WiFi for RV device such as our WiFi in Motion system. With RV internet, you’ll be able to research your trip on the go while also enjoying all the entertainment and connectedness the web offers.

Musicians recognize that it is the pauses that truly make music sing. So it should be with a masterful RV enthusiast. An experienced RVer recognizes that what’s left behind during a camping trip is just as important as what you bring – over-packing for your RV trip will only drain you and your companions while dragging down your rig.

One thing we don’t recommend leaving at home: your mobile internet for RV device. Leaving your RV internet access behind could result in frayed tempers as family members pine for the streaming videos, access to email and other online entertainment that keeps everyone satisfied. With that as a given, here are five items that should stay at home while you and your family hit the road in your RV:

1. Full water tank. Unless you plan on camping off the beaten path for a week, there’s no reason to wreck your gas mileage by carrying around a hundred extra gallons of water. Remember, most campgrounds will allow you to hook into a fresh water supply, so leave the extraneous fluids at home.

2. Gourmet gadgets. That cappuccino machine may sound like heaven, but unless you plan on using it every day, it becomes so much extra weight. With limited kitchen and storage space, it’s wise to really weigh the usefulness of each cooking gadget you bring. Consider how much time you really want to spend cooking, and be sure to pack a few quick, easy meals for those times when you’re too exhausted to pull out all the pots and pans.

3. Work. Unless you’re RVing full time, there’s nothing wrong with leaving your work at home. Your co-workers can survive without you during your vacation, and bringing work with you will only add guilt and a sense of duty to your trip. Of course, if you do need to check your work email, you’ll have no problem with an RV internet access device such as our WiFi In Motion kit.

4. Firewood. Carrying extra timber with you will weigh down your rig. Plus, by bringing your own firewood from home, you risk spreading invasive insect species.

5. Negative attitude. Driving an RV can be a taxing experience. Every member of the family should put in a bit of extra effort to make sure relations stay copacetic throughout the trip. There’s no need for every moment of the trip to go exactly as you planned – indeed, you should be prepared for things to go awry. A chipper mien will go a long way on your RV adventure.

Most of the items listed above are suggestions to keep your RV as light as possible, thereby maximizing gas mileage. Fortunately, our mobile internet for RV solution is lightweight, easy to install and powerful enough to create a mobile hotspot of internet access around your RV. So there’s no reason to leave home without your wireless WiFi for RV device.

RVing is one of America’s most popular family activities, and for good reason. With an RV, your family won’t have to spend oodles on cramped hotel rooms. Kids will have constant access to the bathroom as well as their toys – a big plus when tempers shorten on the road. (It takes real patience not to snap at kids when they ask, “Are we there yet?” or pester a sibling for the millionth time.) Once you’re at the campsite, the kiddos can play outdoors while the parents relax inside. And best of all, you don’t have to save up for a huge RV investment – you can rent an RV and save money over traditional travel accommodations.

For those who are new to traveling by RV, we’ve put together a few helpful tips to get you started:

Consider Adding WiFi for RV

Yes, an RV can carry the kids’ toys and plenty of delicious food. But it can also be equipped with internet WiFi for traveling. That’s right, you can enjoy constant access to the internet through wireless WiFi for RV units. Our WiFi In Motion kits take just 90 minutes to set up and come complete with everything you’ll need to enjoy blazing fast connections without leaving the comfort of your RV.

Rent at Home or Fly and Rent?

A basic choice you’ll have to make is whether to begin your trip from your hometown, or fly to a new part of the country and rent an RV from there. It’s smart to get your feet wet by renting an RV for a weekend trip from home first; that way, you can figure out whether you’re ready to dive into more complicated RV agendas.

Driving Tips for an RV

No special license is required to drive an RV. However, because RVs are so much larger than the average car, you will need to take special driving precautions. Keep an eye out for height restrictions on bridges and tunnels; look out for dips and potholes that could cause your back end to drag and become damaged; avoid steep entrances that could scrape the front of your RV. Don’t take directions on the faith of GPS alone; you may become stuck down a dead-end road that seemed to go through on the GPS map. Finally, always have an escape route in mind when entering gas stations and parking lots.

Pack Entertainment in Case of Nasty Weather

Most RV enthusiasts enjoy having a portable home base from which they can enjoy the great outdoors. Most of your time will probably be spent happily touring the area, but in case rain or other inclement weather hits, you will want a backup plan for keeping the family entertained.

Of course, WiFi for RV is the best solution, since it’s pretty difficult to get bored with the World Wide Web at your fingertips. With internet WiFi for traveling, each family member will have access to his or her favorite sites. Dad can keep up with the news while Mom watches home and garden shows. And little Junior will be able to stream kids’ shows while rain streams down your RV windows. From this perspective, having wireless WiFi for RV is an investment in keeping the peace on your family vacation.

(After all, few experiences in life are worse than making the time and saving the funds for a family vacation, only to be bombarded with fighting kids in the back seat.) The best gadget for keeping the peace on a family trip? Hands down, a traveling WiFi unit.

And when someone needs a little private time, your RV internet will provide a much-needed respite.

1. Crater Lake National Park in Oregon

In the summer, drive the rim trail around this perfectly blue gem of a high mountain lake. Learn about the volcanic past of Crater Lake through interpretive programs. You can even take a tour of the lake by boat. Crater Lake can be quite crowded in the summer, so if you’re looking for a more peaceful trek, try snowshoeing and backcountry skiing around the Crater area in winter.

2. Padre Island National Seashore in Texas

If you long for an endless beach, this is the family vacation spot for you. Imagine more than 70 miles of white, sandy beaches! This is the world’s longest stretch of undeveloped barrier island, so you can expect to see some amazing wildlife, as well. Indeed, in this area of Texas, several major bird migration routes overlap, so once you’re bored with the beach you can hoof it to a bird sanctuary for a change of pace.

3. Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado

Want to really get away from it all? Take a trip to the tallest mountains in the contiguous U.S. The Rocky Mountains will amaze every member of your clan. Choose from hiking mountain trails, watching wildlife and skiing, if there’s still snow on the ground. The fresh mountain air and gorgeous scenery will provide an invigorating escape from the daily grind.

Like everything else, the RV lifestyle changed dramatically when the internet came along. Before the World Wide Web was spun, RV-ers could spend weeks without seeing local news stories. They fed pockets of quarters into pay phones to keep in touch with family members. And for most professions, working on the road was nigh impossible. Now, however, the internet allows people to do their work, banking and family correspondence online, even in semi-remote areas. However, in order to enjoy these perks, you must have a consistent source of personal WiFi while traveling – not always an easy thing to find.

In the early days of the internet, a dedicated campground phone line for dial-up access was a luxury. Avid travelers went to the laundry room or office to plug in, and typically had to suffer under the glares of fellow campers who also wanted to get online. Today, many campgrounds and RV parks offer complimentary WiFi hotspots, partially as an attraction to bring in more guests. However, this internet access can be spotty. Oftentimes, the signal only reaches a portion of RV or campsites. And if something goes wrong, the internet could be completely inaccessible for the length of your stay. We should also mention that some parks still charge for this service – as much as twenty cents per minute, or about $12 per hour, which is an unheard-of rate when cafés, hotels and truck stops offer free WiFi access. (Not that it’s pleasant to sit in a truck stop parking lot while surfing the web.)

The best solution is one you can take with you, encrypt to protect your own identity and use while traveling. Fortunately, that type of wireless WiFi for RV lovers is now available in the form of the WiFi In Motion system. This brilliant technology comes in a kit that includes everything needed to set up a travelling hotspot. Basically, the WiFi in Motion kit creates a radius of internet access that moves with your RV – meaning you can even get work done while on the road!

Here are a few of the benefits of using WiFi In Motion on family trips:

1. Consistent access to entertainment. Stream movies at the campground. Catch up at the political sites before taking a hike. Listen to music on YouTube while preparing dinner. With WiFi In Motion, the family RV trek doesn’t have to be bereft of modern entertainment. And we’re betting that this new plugged-in approach will prevent plenty of family arguments. After all, Dad will be less grumpy with access to his favorite news sites; Mom will be even sweeter when she can surf campground cooking recipes online; and Junior will love being able to see what his friends are up to on Facebook.

2. Dependable line of communication. With this form of wireless WiFi for RV enthusiasts, it’s easier than ever to stay in touch with family members and friends while traveling. Plus, the download and upload speeds are much faster than what you’ll find at most campgrounds and RV parks. That’s because this technology taps into cell phone networks.

3. Predictable bill. If you’re the type of person who requires internet access for work or play, you’re probably willing to pay RV parks for internet access. However, the pay structures that camp managers concoct can be quite illogical. For instance, they may only offer month-long access, a quite inconvenient and expensive arrangement when you’re only planning to stay for a day or two. WiFi In Motion provides dependable internet access for a reasonable price no matter where you’re staying – a good thing for both your wallet and your addiction to the internet.

The bottom line is that WiFi in Motion makes it possible – and convenient – for RV-ers to enjoy both the freedom of the road and a strong connection to the outside world.
